From Imprint, by Noah Maphis, Director of Imprint:

Spring is here, vaccinations are available to everyone, and things are starting to happen again. You know what that means — it’s time for some golf!

The charitable arm of Cobb Technologies, Imprint, hosts Putt It Forward, a charitable golf tournament every year. Like a lot of plans in 2020, however, our golf tournament fell through.

With the first wave of closings and restrictions hitting Virginia in springtime 2020, Imprint had the difficult decision of postponing Putt It Forward made for us — and when Autumn came around, and the case numbers were still up, the even more difficult decision of canceling for the year was our own. But, out of an abundance of caution, we made the decision to wait until the spring of 2021.

Imprint didn’t sit still for all of 2020 though — there was more demand for charitable needs than ever before. So, one of Cobb’s star employees and super-humans, Steve Scott, ran from Danville to Richmond, a distance of 168 miles in just five days, raising over $20,000 for charity. While this was an amazing event that captured the hearts of many across Virginia, we can’t lean on Steve to carry Imprint through 2021.

Luckily, Putt It Forward is Imprint’s biggest fundraiser of the year. And now, the time to golf has finally come!

Putt It Forward 2021 isn’t just about a beautiful spring day golfing in the sun — it’s about helping charities across Virginia meet their goals, and for our sponsors, the opportunity to finally reach an audience that isn’t holed-up in their homes avoiding exposure to COVID.

I can tell you as someone who spent more time inside last year than I ever have, I am more than excited to see all of Imprint’s volunteers and sponsors this year. Hosted at the Highlands Golf Club in Glen Allen, we’re hoping for a beautiful day, fun golf, and enough money to be raised for Imprint to fully fund our charitable endeavors for the year.

We want to thank our sponsors who have already signed on this year: Collabrance, David Fuller, Canon, ColonialWebb, Konica Minolta, Avis Electric Co., DLL, Keiter, M-Files, BEI, Specialty Coating, The Monument Companies, and UNOS.

That may be an impressive list of charitable givers, but there’s still plenty of sponsorship options available:

Silver Sponsorship –

Includes: Social Media Shout outs, prominent recognition on the Imprint website for the next year, significant sponsorship signage at the registration area and throughout the golf course, table signage at each dining table at the awards dinner, an award dinner introduction and recognition, a team Foursome to play in the tournament, and a Hole Sponsorship.

Beverage Cart Sponsorship –

Includes: Signage prominently featured on a beverage cart.

Putt It Forward Sponsorship –

Includes: The option to buy a team foursome for one of our partner charities.

Hole Sponsorship –

Includes: Signage at one of the tournament’s eighteen holes.

Team sign-ups –

Includes: Sign up a foursome to compete in the Putt It Forward tournament!

With over twenty teams already signed up, space is filling up quick. With over one hundred golfers, volunteers, and sponsors expected to attend, this is a great opportunity for any business or organization to capture the attention of community-minded Virginians.

It’s going to be a beautiful day! We’re excited to not only come together to have fun, but help out a community in need, and know together we’re all making a difference!
