Recycle Day with Keep Virginia Beautiful
November 16 | 10:00 am-2:00 pm
Co-hosted with Keep Virginia Beautiful (KVB), RMA’s Recycle Day is a FREE drive-thru recycling event held at our RMA offices.
Businesses and residents are invited to bring their unwanted recyclables to our parking lot and get rid of them for good. What makes this event unique is the breadth of recyclable materials that are accepted: not only general plastic, metal and cardboard recyclables – but also electronics, batteries, and computer parts, plus free on-site paper shredding.
First 200 participants will receive a free Chick-Fil-A chicken sandwich coupon!
Bring gently used coats of all sizes every November during our Coats For Kids campaign. Last year we collected over 20,000 coats! Puritan Cleaners will clean and repair them before delivering them to the Salvation Army for distribution to local families in need.
Accepting: up to three boxes or bags per person of paper documents that need shredding.
Accepting: clothing, shoes, furniture, domestics (sheets, towels), collectables, jewelry, antiques, books, household (dishes, housewares), working flat-panel televisions, DVDs, CDs, records, tapes, small electronics (radios, clocks, lamps), accessories (handbags, belts, scarves), computers, laptops, printers, monitors, hard drives, motherboards, RAM chips, cases, cables, copiers, plotters, telephone systems, and IT equipment.
See Goodwill’s donation guidelines here.
Accepting: cardboard, cans, etc.
With Thanksgiving right around the corner, we will partner with FeedMore and ask that participants bring non-perishable foods to donate.
