In Celebration of Bodacious Women
During the month of October, Simple Pleasures Books & Gifts will be celebrating the women who have inspired us, motivated us and given us strength. In that spirit, we will highlight a selection of titles written by and/or about these special women, who we refer to as “Bodacious Women”. In addition to the titles and authors we are highlighting, we will be hosting a series of author signings throughout the month.
While we feel strongly about bringing attention to these amazing women, our event has another purpose as well. In deference to October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, each of the titles that we have selected for this special promotion will be marked with a pink ribbon. For each specially marked title sold, Simple Pleasures will donate 5% of the sales to the Richmond Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
