First Virginia Sales Tax Holiday - Aug. 4 - 6

The Sales Tax Holiday, passed by this year’s Virginia General Assembly, will eliminate the 5% Virginia Sales Tax on school supplies (up to $20 per item) and clothing and footwear (up to $100 per item) during the three day sale. It will be held annually the first weekend in August.

The new Virginia law also provides a way for retailers who don’t sell products covered by the bill to offer their customers tax-free shopping. During the three-day event, all retailers — not just the ones who sell goods covered by the bill — can pay the sales tax on their customers’ purchases.

Attend the July 7 First Friday Forum and find out all the details and how you can benefit!

Second Annual Media Trade Show – August 8th

Plans are well underway for RMA’s 2nd Annual Media Trade Show on Aug. 8 at the Greater Richmond Convention Center. Two seminars will be offered.

Booths and tabletops are available to media and creative talent. Sign up early. We expect the show to sell out as it did last year!

Admission is free, but you must pre-register for seminars and the show. Bring plenty of business cards for fabulous door prizes!
