French Food Festival by Little Sisters of the Poor

Come out to the Little Sisters of the Poor French Food Festival on April 21, 2012. This festival was created to help the Little Sisters of the Poor raise funds to care for Virginia’s Elderly Poor. In 2009, volunteers banded together with Chef Paul Elbling— Executive Chef of La Petite France—and his wife, Marie, to put on this delicious event.

There will be live entertainment, mouthwatering French cuisine, a Parisian Market, Cajun specialties, prepared by Chef Sean Murphy of Lady N’awlins, and much more!

This family friendly event will take place on April 21, 2012, from 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. (rain or shine) at 1503 Michaels Rd, Richmond, VA 23229. Parking is free and there will be convenient access to the festival from the Forest Office Park.

For 137 years, Little Sisters of the Poor have taken a vow of poverty and have both lived with and provided a home for Virginia’s Elderly Poor. In recent years, the rising cost of geriatric residential care, combined with federal licensing guidelines, have made operating costs for the aging building difficult to meet. Proceeds from the Little Sisters of the Poor French Food Festival will help to keep this program going!
